EcoStoof® assembly
.Cut the EcoStoof® Felt parts according to the pattern.
.Fold the large felt (1) in half, then double and double again so that the circle is folded into eight parts. Smooth the folds with the iron to create a sharp crease.
.Lay the large felt circle unfolded again on the table.
.Then lay the EcoStoof® Cork on top in the middle.
.First place the 50 cm felt circle (2) on top.
.Then the 70 cm felt circle (3).
.Pin the cork all around. Sew it in place.
.Sew the 8 seams on the radial fold lines with all layers of fabric attached. Keep 4 cm distance from the cork bottom.
.Now fill the pockets with the recycled textile fibres. Each pocket gets 50 grams of filling. Pin the top edges closed.
.Now take the felt strips for the collar (7 and 8). Pin the two felt strips on the other side each to the body on either side.
.Fold the collar over to the top and sew the ends together. Finish with the bias tape. Now stitch a seam horizontally in the middle of the entire collar to thread the rope through.
.For the lid, lay the pieces on top of each other: from bottom to top felt piece 4, felt pieces 5 and 1 and felt piece 6.
.Stitch them in place with a 1 cm seam all around. Leave 10 cm open. Now fold them inside out. Put in the remaining filling. Now sew the lid closed and attach it to the body just below the collar.
.Thread the cord through the collar under the centre seam. Put a cord stopper and two cord ends through and the EcoStoof® is ready to use.
