Chai Oatmeal (Cook time: 3 min. Simmer time: 30 min.)

Chai havermoutpap (Kooktijd: 3 min.  Stooftijd: 30 min.)

What do you need for 2 people?• 375ml unsweetened almond milk or other plant-based milk
• 1 sachet of Chai tea (for example from Clipper)
• 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon
• 0.5 teaspoon nutmeg
• 90g oatmeal
• one tablespoon flaxseed
• one tablespoon chia seeds  
• 1 mashed banana

Toppings
• Dash of maple syrup
• Handful of (red) fruit

Cooking time: 3 min.

Braising time: 30 min.

1 Heat the almond milk in a pan with cinnamon and nutmeg.
2 Hang the tea bag in the milk mixture and let it steep for about 2 minutes.
3 Remove the tea bag from the pan.
4 Now add the oatmeal, flaxseed and chia seeds.
5 Bring to a boil in about 3 minutes until the oatmeal thickens slightly.
6 Remove the pan from the heat.
7 Add the mashed banana.
8 Close the pan with a lid and place it in the Ecostoof and close it tightly.
9 Let it cook for about 30 minutes.
10 Top with (red) fruit and maple syrup.
