About Ariënne:
In 2020, I made a life-changing decision: After a long career in aviation, I decided to stop flying to realize my long-cherished dream of running my own cooking studio (and B&B). My passion for cooking began as a child with the dishes from my youth that my father, mothers, and aunts cooked from the Surinamese-Javanese cuisine. Eating together and hospitality were central to us, and this became the common thread in my life. After Hotel Management School, my work as a flight attendant came my way, along with the opportunity to travel to various destinations and get to know different cultures and their versatile cuisines. This further fueled my passion for cooking.
In a small village in Drenthe, we created a food garden in the yard of our former farmhouse, and with access to so many beautiful fresh products from our own garden, region, and surroundings, I give cooking workshops in our former barn, converted into a cooking studio.
Making healthy food and delicious meals accessible in an inspiring environment and creating tasty culinary dishes together is my passion.
