Corporate Social Responsibility
As Ecostoof company, we aim to contribute to preserving and creating a good living environment for current and future generations on our planet. To achieve this, our business operations are guided by an integrated vision of the Triple P (People, Planet, Profit) triangle:
For EcoStoof®, economic, ecological, and social value creation are all equally important. We embrace the principles of the Doughnut Economy, respecting the social objectives of the United Nations and planetary boundaries. Additionally, we are transparent about our production chain.
People
We produce under responsible working conditions. The EcoStoof® and kitchen linen are made by Baltic Flax, a family business in Lithuania. Iris and Caro personally visited the site to check the working conditions. Employees receive a fair wage and regular holidays. The raw material for the linen, flax, comes from Belgium and is processed into linen and dyed with non-toxic dyes in Lithuania. But we do even more: for people on a tight budget, we provide free instructions on our website so they can make an EcoStoof® themselves and thus also benefit from energy savings and easy cooking.
Planet
We are climate positive and do not pollute the earth. Firstly, the EcoStoof® is an energy-saving cooking product. Its use contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions. The more people use it, the higher the CO2 savings. In addition, the EcoStoof® itself has been developed in an ecologically responsible way. The EcoStoof® is made from linen, recycled textile fibers, and cork. This allows us to achieve a minimal ecological footprint. We have also transparently calculated this in our Life Cycle Assessment. After a few months of use, the EcoStoof® is already net CO2 positive. The production of an EcoStoof® requires 7.5 kg of CO2. With five years of daily use, you save 437 kg of CO2. At the end of its lifespan, the EcoStoof® is fully recyclable into a new EcoStoof®.
Profit
We are a financially healthy company now and in the future. We have good margins and significant development potential. In our business case, we make no concessions to our social and ecological objectives.
