Mulled wine

During these cold days leading up to the holidays, you want to treat yourself and your loved ones. Mulled wine is a festive drink that will warm you up. The EcoStoof® is ideal for mulled wine. It needs to develop its flavor at a low temperature, otherwise the alcohol will evaporate.

It won't surprise you that you'll need wine. Besides wine, you'll need some other ingredients that provide the sweet yet spicy taste. For example, oranges, cinnamon, and anise. For a recipe for six people, you'll need the following ingredients:

• 1 liter red wine
• 1 organic orange
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 4 cloves
• 2 tablespoons sugar (or more or less, depending on your preference)
• 2 star anise
• 1/2 organic lemon

Put all ingredients in a pot and heat it. As soon as the mixture steams, place it in the EcoStoof®. Then let it steep for at least fifteen minutes. However, it's best to let it steep a bit longer so that the flavors of the different ingredients can develop in the wine.
